How is volume weight measured?

In accordance to the Rules of International Air Transport, the freight fee for all cargo transported by air is calculated based on the physical weight and dimensions: ⠀

1) physical weight (kg); ⠀

2) volume weight (Vkg). ⠀

When the overall dimensions of the packages are large (because they take up more space on the plane), both (physical/volume) weights are calculated first, and then the weight with the higher index is selected as the carrying weight. ⠀
According to the established international rules, the volume weight is calculated as follows: ⠀
Width (cm) x Length (cm) x Height (cm) / 6000 = Volume weight (Vkg) ⠀
To calculate the transportation fee, the volume-weight indicator is multiplied by the tariff for 1 kg in that country. ⠀
Under what conditions is the CAMEX shipping fee calculated by weight? ⠀

When either side of the package is more than 1 m (100 cm); ⠀
UK and Germany: ⠀
If the volume weight is more than 15 kg of physical weight; ⠀
China: ⠀
If the volume weight exceeds the physical weight; ⠀
Turkey: ⠀
Calculated only by physical weight (excluding bulky products: furniture, large bedding textile sets, etc.); ⠀
UAE: ⠀
Calculated by physical weight only. ⠀
